I would like to begin by thanking all of the caregivers that cared and tended to my Nanny these past few years, months and days leading up to her passing. You are all Saints because Lord...my Nanny could be a bugger ! LOL JK
While I did not get to see my Nan nearly as much as I would have liked to, we had a special relationship.
Nan lived a simple life, she enjoyed the little things. A good cuppa, cheese thoast, her garden, singing, as well as scaring the life out of anyone who was on the roads the same time as she was driving her little car while Nanny was behind the wheel..and I have three children who are driving.
However in all seriousness, I loved my Nanny.
Life passes incredibly quickly, so I challenge you all here to live life, do not just survive it, love hard, and show grace to others.
I will close with a quote the great Garth Brooks (one of her favorites)
"If my time on earth were through, and she must face this world without me.
Is the love I gave her in the past gonna be enough to last, if tomorrow never comes."
See ya later Nanny
